1. Why does the author say the sun is the most important source of energy? Give reasons.

The sun is the most important source of energy because most of the energy sources we use are directly or indirectly related to the sun. The sun gives off light and heat to plants and animals and people and helps them to grow. Any changes in the heat produce wind and rain. Plants receive energy from the sun and give out oxygen for human and animal life. Human beings need plants and meat of animals to survive. Also, mineral resources such as oil and coal, are closely related to the energy of the sun.
2. Do you think the earth will one day run out of energy? Why or why not?
I don't think that the earth will one day run out of energy. Up till now, we have found much more energy than we can consume. For example, there is rich oil under the sea. But the problem is that we have not found efficient ways to explore and use it. With the development of science and technology, I believe new ways to mine those energy sources will be developed.
3. Make some suggestions about efficient use of energy.
I think we should make more careful use of the energy sources being recovered. At the same time, we should try to find new methods of using our energy sources. Only in this way can we avoid an energy crisis in the future. Besides, I think we should develop ways to make fuller use of solar energy, water power, wave power because these energy sources are clean and can be used again and again.
