　 　　小数是以基数词加小数点来表示的。小数点(point)左边的数字按个、十、百…位读，右边的数字一般分单个读出，如：
　　7.8 　　　读作 　seven point eight
　　0.4 　　　读作 　zero(naught, o) point four
　　0.135　　读作 　zero point one three five
　　6.666　　读作 　six point six returning
　　214.396　读作 　two hundred and fourteen point three nine six

　　小数作定语时较多，如：
　　Its capacity was 7.3 times as great as in 1992.
