| Affixation is one of the chief
means of word-formation in English. It is generally defined
as the formation of words by adding word-forming affixes ( prefixes
and suffixes) to stems. In the exercise below, we will learn
more adjectives simply by adding prefixes (前缀) un-, in-, im-,
il-, and ir- to make them negative in meaning. It is easier
and convenient for you to enlarge your vocabulary. |
