1. 译成汉语的主动句
　　e.g. By the time you arrive, the preparation will have been completed.
　　到你到达的时侯，准备工作就会完成了。
　　e.g. The origins of pop culture can often be traced to popular movies, television shows, music stars and sports figures.
　　流行文化的起源可追溯到流行电影，电视，歌星及运动明星。

2. 译成判断句
　　e.g. In ancient times mirrors were made of metal rather than of glass.
　　古时侯，镜子是用金属而不是用玻璃制成的。

3. 译成无主句
　　e.g. Other possibilities were talked about at the meeting.
　　会上还讨论了其它可能性。
　　e.g. It's estimated that more than a hundred people were injured in the accident.
　　据估计，一百多人在事故中受了伤。

4. 添加"被""受""使""把"等，译成被动句
　　e.g. Men are not always made thoughtful by books; but they are generally made thoughtful by association with men who think.
　　读书并不一定能使人变得善于思考；但一般说来，与善于思考的人交往，就能使人好学多思。
　　e.g. Pop culture is also promoted by business and advertising.
　　流行文化也受到商业及广告的促进 。
