1. 倍数增加的句型译成"是……的n倍"或"比……增加（n－1）倍"
　　e.g. The output of the paper mill is now three times as high as it was in 1980.
　　这家造纸厂的产量比1980年增加两倍。
　　e.g. Asia is four times larger than Europe.
　　亚洲比欧洲大3倍。　　

2. 倍数减小的句型译成"是……的1/n"或"比……减少（n－1）/n"
　　e.g. A body would weigh six times less on the moon than on the earth.
　　物体在月球上的重量是地球上的1/6。（减少5/6）
　　e.g. My luggage is twice as light as his.
　　我的行李是他行李的1/2。
　　如果倍数很大，翻译时无需减一。
　　常见的表示数的增减和倍数的表示方法有：
　　1. ···倍数+ as +形容词或副词+ as +···
　　2. ···倍数+ 比较级+ than +···
　　3. ···数字+ 比较级+ than +···
　　4. 倍数 + 名词
　　5. 动词 + by + 数字或倍数（净增加的数字或倍数）
